Located in Tilden Park in the hills above Berkeley, the Golden Gate Live Steamers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit museum whose mission is to operate a large scale miniature railroad, to teach & promote craftsmanship in model engineering for the benefit of our members and to educate the public on what we are all about.
We run a train carrying the public every Sunday from Noon To 3:00 pm depending on the staffing & weather and our station entrance is located just further and below the Redwood Valley Railroad’s loading station.
If you have an interest in railroading, live steaming, home shop machining or model engineering, we would love to welcome you to our club. Please feel free to come to any of our monthly club meetings and introduce yourself. Our club meetings are usually held on the second Sunday of each month starting at 10 am but please check our club calendar for the actual dates.
Our club facilities include 7.5″, 4.75″ dual-gauge ground level track and a 1,100 ft high track loop consisting of 4.75″, 3.5″ and 2.5″ triple-gauge track.
