The Society is based in the former Victorian walled kitchen garden of “Dalchoolin House”, in the grounds of the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum at Cultra on the southern shores of Belfast Lough.
Members are active at the site on Wednesdays and Saturdays all year round (weather permitting).
Our tracksite includes a 3½” and 5″ gauge raised level circuit (1700′ length), a 7¼” gauge ground level circuit (1200′ length), a small boating pond, areas for traction engine/road vehicle running and a nearby field is often used for model aircraft flying.
Our site also includes a well equipped workshop which members are welcome to use to build or repair their models.Society meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month from September to June. Meetings are held in the Lagan room, which is located in the Learning Courtyard in the Folk Museum (courtesy of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum).
